words are not enough

There are 26 alphabets in English language.Number of words made out of them? Lakhs. How many words would we be speaking in a day? Walking down the street, studying, shopping, partying, everywhere there are people chattering. More than 50% noise in the world is made up of 'human voices'

But to convey our feelings- we never find enough words. We start stammering and usually never finish the talk. Do you find it easy to tell someone that you love them? Do you find it easy to tell someone that you hate them? (you would just chicken out instead of telling this!) Or is it easy to tell someone that what they did was wrong but you are willing to let it go because they mean so much to you? Telling friends that they are a very important part of your life... is that easy? Telling parents that you are grateful for the amazing life they gave you.. do you find that easy? Most of the answers would be no. You feel at loss of words when conveying such feelings. So does that mean that the lakhs of words we have are no good when it comes to the real use?? The answer to this would be YES. Words are only meant to communicate your outer emotions. You inner emotions are way too important to be communicated verbally. So how can you actually communicate feelings??

Someone once took me by hand, and started looking in my eyes. I kept asking what the case was, but he did not reply and signaled me to not say anything. I was wondering why he is looking at me like that when I caught his eye and could not stop looking into them. We kept looking at each other for several minutes. It felt like he could see through my eyes and could read my heart so clearly that I felt exposed. It felt as if the curtains I had over my emotions were torn apart and that this person could see the real me. It felt as if there were no secrets anymore. Tears rolled down from both of our eyes and at that moment we knew what we actually think and feel about each other.

Look into the eyes of people who are close to you and smile. And mean it. This gesture would be a thousand times more valuable to them than saying a Thank You or an I Love You. Try it- because words are not enough.
